The thing is, the world is changing, in ways that we’ve never seen, and we’ve got to think differently to embrace that change. So, this idea of survival of the strongest consciously and subconsciously, is deeply entrenched into the very fabric of our society, and it has served us to the point that we find ourselves today. This was later adapted to the words ‘survival of the fittest’, but his original words were ‘survival of the strongest’. And the foundations of the corporate systems were created at the same time, and they were all modelled after what was believed to be the best science and the true story of the way that nature works.ĭarwin told us that nature is based upon separation and competition, and what he called survival of the strongest. People ask me all the time, “Gregg, that was over 150 years ago, who cares? What difference could that possibly make, in our modern world today?” And it’s a really good question, and people are surprised by the answer, because what we begin to understand is that the foundations of the society that we live in today, the foundations of the economic system that we all are part of, those foundations were created in the late 1800s, early 1900s. And he proposed theories, that we are still supporting today, even though the evidence no longer supports those theories. He was a geologist, just like I am, and he did the best with what he had to work with in his day. Charles Darwin was a brilliant scientist.
We all have a story, and our story is based upon our family, what our family tells us is possible for us in our lives, and who we are, and where we come from, and how things work – our community, our culture, our religion, our education, the university systems, our society – all of these are part of our story.Ī large part of our story has been based upon Darwin’s ideas that were published in 1859. And it’s all about the story that we tell ourselves. The reason that I have written this book in the way that I have, is because the better we know ourselves, the better we can deal with this kind of change. And we’re asking ourselves to embrace this globalisation through the thinking of the past, but that thinking is based upon false assumptions of separation, competition and conflict. We’re crossing traditional boundaries of religion, of culture, and certainly of geography. We’re pushing eight billion people together in ways that we’ve never been together in the past.
We’re marching forward in global change, and we cannot go back to the world that we’ve known in the past. The better we know ourselves, the less we fear change in the world. It all comes down to that the better we know ourselves, the better equipped we are to deal with life, or whatever it is that life brings to our doorstep.

It describes a series of extraordinary potentials that exist through the biology, and the second half of the book are the instructions for how to go about accessing those extraordinary potentials. The evidence is no longer supporting the evolution as the human story, and it implies that we are much more than random mutations as we’ve been led to believe. The book was originally released under the title Human by Design, and the first half of the book is about the science that tells us that evolution – while it is a scientific fact in the fossil record, for many forms of life – is not the human story. In your book you share why it is that we need a new story, so we break the spell from Darwin.
